Meredith and Neil’s wedding day at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club was so unique and beautiful, and full of love and beer! They met on a night out with friends in D.C. at the Rock and Roll Hotel music venue, and since have been on many adventures together. Their favorite adventures have been going to countless breweries together and collecting growlers from each, which were the centerpieces at their reception tables. Instead of lighting a unity candle or combining sands during their waterfront ceremony, they poured and drank from a “unity beer” (which was a combination of a Yuengling and a Guinness). They then exchanged the most beautiful and personal vows to each other and became husband and wife.
Before their ceremony, Meredith and Neil did a first look in the courtyard of The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. We took many photos outside The Inn of just the two of them, especially with the hops garden at The Inn, which tied in with their theme of beer!
Meredith honored her late father with many details throughout her wedding day. She had a charm with his initials engraved into it on the bottom of her bouquet so that he could be there in spirit when she and her mother walked down the aisle. He was also remembered by a table in the reception room that was adorned with photos of him, and a sign that said “Forever his Sweet Pea,” which was his nickname for Meredith. Meredith had asked her father to help bring good weather for the wedding day, and her prayer was certainly answered with a beautiful spring day! The flowers by Little House of Flowers certainly were the perfect spring florals and colors, and really popped with the color of her bridesmaids’ Azazie dresses.
Congratulations, Meredith and Neil! It was such an honor getting to know you two over this past year, and to photograph your wedding day!
