Emma and Nathan became husband and wife in September in a beautiful celebration with their closest friends and family in attendance at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville, Maryland.

Emma and Nathan met while in college in Chicago, and the two moved to Emma’s home town of Baltimore last spring so that she could attend Johns Hopkins to earn her MBA. Nathan proposed to Emma in the kitchen of their home in Hampden and then celebrated with a whole day full of fun activities he had planned for the two of them.

The couple’s wedding party were comprised of their four closest friends, and I loved that Emma had a Man of Honor! They were such a fun group to work with and photograph, as you will see throughout the photos in this post!

After Emma and Nathan shared a first look in the courtyard of The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, we then photographed their family and wedding party photos before their ceremony on the Beach House Lawn so the two could enjoy more time at their cocktail hour. Spending more time with their guests was very important to Emma and Nathan, especially during this time of social distancing and not being able to see everyone as often as we normally would.

During their cocktail hour, we had such a stunning sunset that we had to take advantage of for their bride and groom portraits. Everyone was in awe of the view and it made such an amazing backdrop for photos!

It was so nice to see how safe their celebration was during this era of COVID-19. Not only did the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club go above and beyond to insure that all safety protocols were met throughout the wedding, but Emma and Nathan also took extra steps to help insure everyone could feel comfortable being in attendance. The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club was able to accommodate outdoor dining by transforming the Tavern Bayside space into a beautiful dining area. When it came time for dancing, everyone danced the night away under the stars and string lights that are strung over the are between the Tavern Bayside and the Beach House Ballroom.
