Last week I had the most enjoyable day zipping around the city of Philadelphia with Andrea and Aaron for their engagement session! We stopped at about six different iconic locations throughout the city – we just couldn’t resist all of the beautiful and historic sites Philly has to offer. One stop was at the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, where Aaron is pursuing his PhD in Linguistics. Andrea is also studying hard, working on her Masters of Education in K-12 Foreign Language Education (French) with a certificate in ESOL at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Andrea and Aaron are quite the adventurous duo! Aaron proposed to Andrea on top of Algonquin Peak in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks after a 12 mile hike! Ahh! Living in the city, they bike practically everywhere they need to go. For our shoot, they rented a tandem bike for fun to represent their love for biking, and the photos taken of them riding on a path in Fairmount Park along the Schuylkill River are among my absolute favorites from the session. I could see pure bliss in this couple’s expressions while riding together!
Andrea and Aaron reside in West Philly but both are from Maryland originally. In fact, Andrea and I graduated from the same high school and served on the school newspaper together. They moved to Philadelphia for graduate school and work after both graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park. These two will be tying the knot in Annapolis later this month, and I can’t be more excited and honored to be their wedding photographer!
Congratulations Andrea and Aaron! I had so much fun with you both!

I think I need one of those bikes now! Something about them is so romantic!
The ones on the bicycle are my favorite. It could be a hundred years ago – or better, timeless.
