Last Saturday’s beautiful, rustic wedding of Ashley and Steve was full of love, laughter, and stunning details. ThorpeWood in Thurmont, Maryland was the perfect setting for Ashley and Steve’s day, and as Ashley said, it “suits us perfectly.” I was in awe of the beauty that is ThorpeWood – like the light that shone through the trees as Ashley and Steve exchanged their vows in the Pine Cathedral, the atmosphere of The Lodge where their reception was held, and everywhere in between! ThorpeWood is a 155 acre mountain destination, home to old growth oak, hickory, and tulip popular trees. It is 1500 feet up the Catoctin Mountains and features a stand of tall trees named the Pine Cathedral, which makes a splendid setting for weddings.

These two had dated for four years, broke up and then, three years later, found each other again coincidentally! It was last October that Steve proposed by asking Ashley to carve a pumpkin that already had the ring inside!

Ashley and Steve, it was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day! Everything was so beautiful, from the vows you exchanged to the very last detail. I know a lot of love and work was put into this day. Congratulations! Enjoy Mexico!!
