I had the honor of photographing Megan and Andy’s gorgeous fall wedding at Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood in Thurmont, Maryland. I had been eagerly anticipating their wedding day, especially after working with them for their engagement session at Hauser Estate Winery in Pennsylvania a few months prior.

Their wedding day was full of special, heartfelt moments. One of my favorite moments was when Megan opened a gift from Andy. It was a wooden jewelry box he had made years ago in a shop class with the intention of gifting it to his future wife on their wedding day. As she read the card inside that told her this, she started to cry. It was amazing to hear that even when Andy was young, he was dreaming of Megan and their wedding day, and the moment she would receive this jewelry box, and how they will fill it over their lifetime together!

Surrounded by many friends and family, Megan and Andy became husband and wife in a cozy and beautiful indoor ceremony at ThorpeWood. It was just a little too cold to hold their ceremony outside, and Megan was happy to have it by the fireplace in this gorgeous venue.

I got to go around the property of ThorpeWood with Megan and Andy for their bride and groom portraits.  The pond and the old stone bridge are just amazing, and I really enjoyed spending this time with the couple – having them cuddle up and just be themselves in front of my camera. These two have amazing chemistry, and it shows in every single moment captured throughout their day.
