I absolutely loved photographing the gorgeous United States Naval Academy wedding of Whitney and Ian in the late fall. Their wedding day was an absolute dream – from prep at the Governor Calvert House to their first look at the State House, from their ceremony at the Naval Academy Chapel to their reception at the Officer’s Club, and everywhere around the USNA that we went for photos in between!

This is my longest blog post to date. Whitney and Ian decided to do a first look a few hours before the ceremony, providing ample time to photograph them in an abundance of stunning locations that the Academy has to offer – including the Superintendent’s Garden! 

I just adore these two so much! They first met while attending graduate school at NYU in 2013 and got engaged this past August. Ian will be deployed for half of their first year of marriage, and I admire their strong bond and love for one another – not to mention how genuine and fun they are!

Congratulations, Whitney and Ian! It was an absolute honor to be your wedding photographer! I hope everything with your move to Seattle is going smoothly and that you have a very merry first Christmas together as husband and wife.
